Today we were assigned to create 5 questions that would be good test questions and answers.

1. Name 5 gods/goddesses and what they are gods/goddess of.
Answer:
    1. Poseidon - God of the Sea
    2. Zeus - ruler of heaven and earth and god of the sky, weather, law, order, and justice
    3. Athena - daughter of Zeus and goddess of wisdom, skill, warfare, and peace
    4. Aphrodite - Goddess of love
    5. Dionysus - God of wine, son of Zeus and Semele (human)

2. Who said, "The unexamined life is not worth living."
Answer: Socrates 

3. What were the two dramas performed in the Ancient Greek theater?
Answer: Tragedy and Comedy 

4. Name one thing that caused a problem in Athens during the Peloponnesian War.
Answer: The plague of Athens 

5. Why was Plato important?
Answer: He carried on Socrates teachings and was one of the most inspiring philosophers in his time.

Crucible of Civilization Video

I was not in class today because I was sick, but I watched the video we were assigned to watch in class. The video was about the Greeks. It talked about how many nations the Greeks defeated. many of these nations were much bigger than they were. In 508 BC, Athens, the people turned on their ruler and demanded freedom. Cleisthenes saw that these people should be free. He thought that they should rule their government. Cleisthenes was born around 570 BC into one of the richest families in Greece. Cleisthenes grew up in privilege. Cleisthenes was taught that he was an aristocrat. In 6 century BC, the aristocrats controlled many things. Many people wouldn't believe in years, Athens, Greece would be so powerful. Athens was poor. The houses were not fancy, and life was simple. Men would work in the field. Essay

Today in class we started working on our essay that we are writing in class on Friday as part of our exam grade. Out of the three topics we were given, I chose the first option ( option  A). I choose this topic because  I think I will be able to give the most information on this topic than the other topics. In this topic there are many factors to contribute to my arguments about the three countries I picked to talk about which are  Japan, Venezuela, and Mexico.  I might change my countries if  I  find more  information  on  different   countries   tonight . I am more familiar with the ideas of population, immigration, population pyramids, and problems with society than the stages of the demographic transition. I will probably try to finish my essay tonight and state all the problems for each country and think of ways the problems can be solved. Hopefully I can finish it tonight so I can get it proof read on Thursday.
